My Fave Shots (Part 2 till the end!)

Okay, this is an attempt to finish off the sequel to My Fave Shots Part 1, because I am always crap at finishing off what I started, and am trying to kick the habit. Here's more of our post-wedding pics taken by Kudegraphy!

I wonder.

I was having a bbm conversation with my cousins and we were talking about how we looked like as babies. Truthfully, I was quite fugly then. Ha ha. You know how they say all babies are cute? Well, errr...I was definitely not a cute baby. I was so bloated, with tiny slits for eyes and MASSIVE. Hair standing on the top of my head. Brown-ish. Not exactly diaper commercial material. Yasir on the other hand, was a super cute baby. Behold:

He's the cutie pie in the middle! Awww, so fair and wide-eyed! He's pictured here with his mommy and his two older brothers. Then as he grew, he still turned out cute, like this:

Somehow, many many years later, he turned into THIS:

HAHAHA okay okay that's a really bad photo (don't kill me sayang!), this one's more like it:

Surrounded by chicks! hahah. Anyway, I guess it doesn't matter what you looked like as a baby, you might turn out entirely different. I've been wondering and daydreaming about what my baby boy looks like...we haven't done a 4D or a 3D scan, so we have NO clue as to whose eyes, nose or lips he has. I've been wanting to get a 4D scan done, but it keeps on getting postponed and I'm getting restless! Yasir wants to leave it as a surprise, but I'm just too darn curious to wait (plus I do want to see how fully formed he is, insyaallah everything should be formed by now). Sometimes I imagine a boy who looks exactly like Yasir, when he was little...how cute would that be? :) I see him having Yasir's big doey eyes, round but sharp nose and pouty lips... *sigh* :) I really don't mind if he doesn't look like me at all, for some strange reason...I think it's because I think Yasir was such a cute baby that I would LOVE for Ayden to look exactly like him, if I had a choice!

Oh Ayden, everyday that passes by brings me closer to gazing at your little face, kissing your sweet little cheeks and holding your tiny little fingers in my hand. I don't care how you look like, my darling, you're already perfect to me.

31 Weeks Vlog

Okay, this vlog is quite lame because the sound doesn't match with the picture (Yasir uploaded it, not meee!) so it doesn't really make sense haha. But it is an attempt to update my pregnancy vlogs. I tried. I look like I'm wearing a kain batik, which I'm not. hahah. I just rambled on and on about...stuff, and got chopped off in the end. If Yasir kindly fixes the video, then I shall re-post a new one. If not, we are stuck with this weird video. Booooo. This could well be my last vlog by the way...or my second last one, we shall seeeeee (something tells me it's the last one)! Oh, fastfoward towards the end if you just wanna see how big my tummy is - don't worry, no inappropriate flashing, I promise! :p

31 going on 32 weeks!

Turning 32 weeks (8 months!) by the end of this week. Basically, everything which is written below, I'm experiencing. Fatigue. Breathlessness. Man, I feel tired just from typing this out. Anyway, the article below was taken from womenshealthcaretopics.com. I have actually recorded my 31 week pregnancy vlog (FINALLY), but am waiting for the husband to upload it on Youtube soon. I think I babbled a lot about random stuff, so it's not exactly an interesting video. Oh well. Anyway, stuff about being 32 weeks preggers:

As you reach 32 weeks pregnant, don't be surprised if you start to feel very fatigued (yepp...CHECK!). All that extra weight that you are carrying around takes its toll on your body. Your exhaustion may also be related to the dramatic increase of the hormone progesterone in your pregnant body. (Progesterone helps prepare your body for labor and delivery.)

Take it Easy in the Third Trimester
Although fatigue is a normal pregnancy symptom in the third trimester, you should try to take it easy, if you can. Take short breaks at work, and extra naps in the middle of the day (if you have this luxury) (THANK GOD I DO). At pregnancy week 32, you can look forward to the fact that your fatigue won't last forever. Pregnancy-related fatigue will disappear shortly after you give birth.

Pregnancy Weight Gain and Insomnia
As you grow larger in your pregnancy, you should expect to also experience sleep disturbances and insomnia (if you aren't already!) (CHECK!!). In fact, your pregnancy weight gain at 32 weeks pregnant may be as high as 25 pounds, or more! (The recommended weight gain in pregnancy for an average sized woman is between 25 and 35 pounds) (OHMYGOD I HAVE ALREADY GAINED 35 POUNDS...IS THAT HEALTHY??).

Only 5 More Weeks to Go!
At pregnancy week 32, you may feel like you can’t get any larger! But remember, you have five more weeks until your baby is full-term and ready to be delivered. That’s over a month! Expect your belly to continue to grow as your pregnancy week by week comes to a close (AAAAACKK).

Be Aware of Posture Changes
As your belly expands at 32 weeks pregnant and onward, try to be aware of your posture. Postural changes in pregnancy are linked to some painful pregnancy changes, including backaches and leg cramps.

What Causes Back Pain in the Third Trimester
In the third trimester, your back pain may also be linked to the increased levels of the hormone relaxin in your body. This hormone helps stretch and soften your body's ligaments and pelvic tendons, so that your baby can easily pass through the birth canal during delivery.

Heart Palpitations During Pregnancy
At pregnancy week 32, you may start to experience heart palpitations (the sensation that your heart is pounding or racing, or beating irregularly) (DOUBLE CHECK!!). Though you may feel concerned about this, it is a common experience in pregnancy, especially around 32 weeks pregnant. Heart palpitations are simply the result of the your increased blood volume during pregnancy (which peaks around this week), paired with the influences of the hormone progesterone, and the stress and anxiety of pregnancy.

Fetal Development at 32 Weeks Pregnant

At 32 weeks pregnant, your baby continues to put on the weight. He or she weighs around 3.7 pounds now, and he or she is about 16.7 inches long. Your little one is reaching his or her maximum length at this stage of your pregnancy week by week.

The level of amniotic fluid in your uterus is reaching its maximum at pregnancy week 32. From this point onward, the amount of amniotic fluid will stay constant until your baby is full term (week 37 of pregnancy). At 37 weeks, the amount will steadily decrease.

Your baby is starting to fatten up this week. He or she is packing on fat and muscle underneath the skin, giving your baby a more rounded look. By the time that your baby is born, he or she will simply be the cutest, chubby baby that you ever did see!

The skin is less translucent at 32 weeks pregnant. It is also become pinker. It's harder to see the blood vessels underneath the skin. You can now see creases on the skin of your baby's wrists and on the palms.

During pregnancy week 32, your baby's muscle tone is improving so his or her movements are smoother and more complex. Your baby's movements in the womb help with his or her coordination, increases his or her muscle mass, and strengthen his or her bones.

Here's to 4 weeks++ to go!!

sloppy kisses.

Dreams are made of these.

If I lived in London and loved taking long walks in Hyde Park with my pink cheeked baby all bundled up in his snazzy baby coat, these are what I would take him for a walk in:

More 'muscular' versions:

Don't these prams remind you of the kiddy prams you used to push around as a little girl? I love love LOVE the classic look these trams are sporting. Truly stylish and a definite eye catcher...haven't seen any of these around in KL. They might be a tad inconvenient though, to maneuver around shopping malls (you'd have to always take the lift - forget about balancing it on the escalator!) and the baby might feel a bit too smothered, in our hot weather. Good news though - some of these prams open to become a stroller when your baby gets older. These prams are my definite fantasy buy. So vintage-looking and beautiful..and the wheels are soo classic. There are updated versions of these styles too, but I would think they would be hard to find here :( Anyway, brands that make these babies are Inglesina and Silver Cross. Emmaljunga makes the slightly modernised version, with the sporty wheels, and more practical. To-die-for!

Maternity shoot?

I've had the pleasure of getting two offers to do a maternity shoot (Lee, are we still on?). I should, shouldn't I? Hmmm what to wear, what to wear??

Don't judge me coz I'm pregnant!

I've kinda realised something about being pregnant. There's this sort of 'mould' that exists, which people expect pregnant women to fit into. People are a tad too judgmental when it comes to a pregnant woman and her insecurities about her body changing - if she complains about feeling like a whale, she is seen as being ungrateful that she's pregnant, or too vain. They think a pregnant woman should automatically resume the role of a pudgy, couldn't-care-less about stretch marks persona, where she should waddle about in baggy clothes makeup-less, hair tied in a bun. I mean, it's perfectly fine if you ARE that sort of pregnant woman, god knows all the aches and pains hardly make you feel like spending more than two seconds picking out something to wear (I'm sure every pregnant woman can definitely relate to that), but there are others who still want to make an effort to look good and stylish, even while sporting a massive baby bump. Honestly, I would be lying if I said I didn't fit more into the latter category - even while I'm feeling tired, I still take a while to pick out something I'd feel good wearing (sometimes even Yasir has to help me pull out things from my wardrobe as I struggle to breathe while sitting in front of my closet). I still put on makeup most of the time before I leave the house. Only on a REALLY bad hair day do I put my hair up in a bun. But that's just me - before I was pregnant, I loved spending time in front of my closet, trying on different combinations, finding a handbag and shoes which would complement my outfit for the day. And just because I'm pregnant now certainly doesn't mean I'll give up this aspect of my personality.

It's the same with stretchmarks. People expect you to be okay with getting stretchmarks once your tummy grows. NEWSFLASH: No one likes getting stretchmarks. Do you? If a pregnant woman wants to cry because one day she wakes up and discovers her stomach is laden with stretchmarks, let her. Her body is changing, she needs time to adjust to it, she isn't a frikking robot. In fact, she's got all these hormones swirling around, she might just bawl her effing eyes out. That doesn't mean she's ungrateful that she's with child, that means she's just human. And honestly, some people think that once the baby pops out, she'll be too enamored with her baby and lost in her duties as a mother, that she couldn't be bothered anymore if her tummy has the world map imprinted on it. Seriously, not ALL mothers are the same. If you're a mother who is fine with her stretchmarks, good on you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But if you're also a mother who still goes to great lengths to make sure your stomach is stretchmark free (by religiously applying oil, going for laser treatments etc) then good on you too. It CERTAINLY does not make you a bad mother.

And what is it with people who just love to reply "Tsk tsk, you're pregnant, what do you expect!?" and look at you like you're a bad person, when you whine about your face getting puffy, or your ass expanding to the size of an elephant's? Again with the 'pregnant mould'! Does it say anywhere that pregnant women aren't allowed to whine about getting bigger and bigger? Don't YOU whine when you put on so much as 2 pounds? So just because you're not pregnant, it's okay for you to complain while pregnant women are just supposed to shut up and take it like a soldier? Let the preggo unleash once in a while forgodsakes! You're better off saying "You're still beautiful honey" or "Don't worry, you'll lose the weight when you have the baby, I'm sure!" or just blatantly lie and say "Where? You look the same to me! You're all tummy" if you want to make her feel better and to shut her up (this is Yasir's tactic and I fall for it almost 99.9% of the time). Oh, and surprise surprise, some of us do care if we look GIGANTOR in pics. Just because we're pregnant, that doesn't mean we're happy of people putting up pics of us looking like a hippo (this especially goes out to KAKAK :P).

I guess, what I'm trying to say is, pregnant women should be allowed to take pride in their appearance and feel insecure about their growing bodies, as long as it doesn't affect their mental well being. Yes, they are carrying a child in their bellies and should be tapping into their maternal instincts, but I believe they shouldn't have to lose their personalities along the way, and be given some space to vent about the physical changes they're going through. For me, there's nothing more I'm looking forward to than holding my baby in my arms and finally becoming a mom. Just because I complain about not being able to fit into my old jeans once in a while, or spend too much time looking at diaper bags instead of reading pregnancy books does that change a little bit. Not even an inch - unlike my growing ass.

I bet my now too tight, makes-me-look-like-a-sausage-with-legs, old skinny jeans on it.

Baby love!

I had sooo much fun at my baby shower yesterday and the baby received really cool prezzies too :) Thank you again and again to my girlfriends who are truly lovely, to have gone through all the trouble for Yasir and I. Pics to come soon! :D

Stretchmark Watch.

I have been on stretchmark watch from the time my belly started growing. Apparently stretchmarks are inevitable if your mom had them when she was pregnant...something about it being in your genes. Well, my momma has them. Boy, does she. Ha ha. Sorry mama :P So although I have been bracing myself for the day I'll see those scraggly lines on my belly, I have to admit, actually seeing them appearing before my eyes would be a major upset. Especially since my tummy area was sort of my pride and joy pre-pregnancy, because it was quite flat...before I ate anything. And only in the morning when I woke up. And when it's not the time of the month. Oh, and after a good poop. Anyway, I'm definitely not expecting a flat tummy after the baby (who am I? Gisele Bundchen!?) but to have it laden with stretchmarks would be like the start to the end of my 'youth'. Ok lah, to put it simply, come on, who likes stretch marks right?? Those suckers are almost impossible to get rid of once you get them!

So last week, as I looked into the mirror for my daily stretchmark watch, I saw It. Them. Lines. On the lower left of my belly. I screamed. Yasir came running. Or maybe I ran to him...can't really remember, it all happened so fast. But I demanded Yasir inspect them up close. So he did. If we had a magnifying glass, I would've totally told him to use it. Then after seconds of inspecting my belly, he looked up and looked at me with an expression which said 'awwwwww honeyyyy'. And I remember muttering something along the lines of "It's not laaa. No lahh. They're not laaaa!!" over and over again. As if I continued muttering those words, by some miracle they would go away. After half an hour of being in denial, and Yasir wiping away my tears (I was hormonal, can you really blame me?) and telling me I was still beautiful, I accepted the fact that my stomach was no longer stretchmark-free. I told myself I'd live. So what if it signaled the end of my youth. My stretchmarks tell a story. The 'I'm-a-mama' story. I had a baby with this body. My husband still thinks I'm sexy, stretchmarks or not. And that's all that matters.

Funny thing is, when I woke up the next day, the stretchmarks had vanished! Turns out they could've just been the scraggly marks I got from the material on our sofa, from lounging around. But at least the false alarm has in a way prepared me mentally for what might come. I've heard stories where the preggo stays stretchmark-free right up till the 8th month, and suddenly out of nowhere the suckers pop up. Oh well. In the meantime, I'll continue to apply my Pureen lotion or Bio-Oil. One can hope! And if I still get stretch marks, I'll be okay. If I don't, then GREAT! I'm good, stretchmarks or not. Broken skin and lines may signal the end of my 'youth'...but in the end, I know that every single line on my belly was definitely worth getting :)

And end to the baby shower dress fiasco.

FINALLY, the store called me today and told me I could come pick up my dress. So I duly made my way to ENVEE in Bangsar Village (cheh free publicity!) by my lonesome and tried it on. Thank God Almighty they altered it right. By the way, ENVEE has quite a good selection of 'baby shower dresses' if you ask me. They're not a maternity store obviously, but a lot of their dresses or caftans fit a pregnant woman just fine, and the reason why I say 'baby shower' friendly is because they're quite dressy. So if you're looking for a dressy-ish maternity dress, check check check it out. A one shouldered, toga, grecian-ish hot pink dress caught my eye as I entered the shop. If you're good with flaunting your arms I say it makes an awesome baby shower dress! Wish I had toned arms....

Anyway I then proceeded to go to ALDO. Might as well, seeing as I was already in BV II, right? Big mistake. I should've just taken the dress and drove straight home. Because somewhere between the ring and necklace section, I started getting all sweaty and my vision started to blur. Uh-oh. So I made my way to the restroom, got into a cubicle and sat on the toilet seat. Took off my cardigan and tied my hair up because I was sweating bucketloads by then. Not good. They say you should put your head down between your legs for blood circulation, but I find it impossible to bend down that far with my stomach in the way! How do other preggos do it?? I then tried sitting on the floor of the toilet (thank god for clean restrooms in BVII) to see if that would work better. Nope, was struggling to find a comfy position, gave up and sat back down on the toilet bowl again. After 15 minutes or so I felt slightly better, but couldn't stay in the cubicle because it was hot, and I needed an air-conditioned, comfortable place fast. So where else did I go, but to Delicious. Had to eat something, so I ordered a salad (konon eating healthily) and munched on it, settling back into the big ass blue cushion pillows. Sigh. I think the waiters must have found it weird that a pregnant woman was eating all by herself at 4pm because they sort of stared. Either that or I had a booger up my nose.

Finally, after 20 minutes of staring off into space, munching on my salad and catching my breath, I made my way home. No jam, awesome. Reached home, trudged up the stairs and CRASHED. This outing has really made me rethink going out on my own from now on. I mean, I usually try my absolute best not to since I got pregnant, but I think that now, more than ever, I really can't afford to do things without someone to watch me, for the baby's sake and mine. Oh well, at least something good came out of today - I got my dress! :D

Seven months pregnant while jalan-jalan!

Latest picture taken from my FB of family and I on the day we went for a day trip to Melaka. I was praying to god that I wouldn't feel lightheaded during the trip, and alhamdulillah was not lightheaded at all! It did kinda help that it rained from afternoon till night, so it wasn't hot. Was all in all, a fun trip :) I have now outgrown 99.9% of the things in my wardrobe, so was pleasantly surprised when I could still wear this dress (which I'm sure I will outgrow soon enough). Struggled a little while putting it on, but what matters is that it fits and amazingly, feels comfy. What an achievement.

Leather lovelies.

Yep, another diaper bag post. These lush, leather bags ARE actually diaper bags. Feast your eyes, moms and soon-to-be moms, it's diaper bag porn at its finest. Never thought I'd string those three words into one sentence. Get the burp cloth out to wipe up the drool!

Timi & Leslie Charlie II Tote Diaper Bag

As seen on Jessica Alba (I swear, she has a gazillion diaper bags):

Not Rational Kelly Leather Diaper Bag. Just look at that buttery soft leather...yumm.

Nest Elliot Leather Diaper Bag. Heidi Klum has been seen toting one around.

OiOi Black Studded Leatherette Tote. Love this one in red too!Maelee Chloe Diaper Bag. Another celeb fave! It's got TONNES of pockets inside to help keep you organised.

Hammitt Bel Air Diaper Bag. One word: Stun-ning! Even Yasir likes this one, so what does that tell you?

As seen on Angelina Jolie:

Man, she's too skinny for my taste :/ But rockin' the bag!

Christine Price Haute Tinley Bag. The black one in this design is gorge too.

Designed to make you look skinny. Heh.

Most of the diaper bags above are actually quite reasonably priced, some around 100 ++ US Dollars! I wouldn't really perve on the reaaally expensive diaper bags, coz I'm down-to-earth like that. Har har. Anyway, the above babies are perfect for the leather lovin', stylish mom who doesn't want her diaper bag to look like...what else, a diaper bag. We definitely approve.

Sleepless nights

I am convinced that my baby is a night owl - he barely sleeps at night, and is so active that I struggle to fall asleep on most days. Last night, as Yasir and I settled in bed, I tapped my tummy gently and told him to sleep. He then proceeded to respond with a double karate kid flying kick on the right side of my belly. Either that, or he boxed me. Fast and furiously. Not too sure which one it was. I predict that if the little bugger keeps this up, he's going to be quite a handful! Some people have told me that playing a soft tune when your baby is active in the womb will help quiet them down, and helps for when the baby is out too - you simply play the tune you've been playing to them while you were pregnant, and they should simmer down just by listening to it. Sounds perfectly simple, and I was up for trying it out. But unfortunately Yasir and I don't own a CD player, neither do we own an iPod (omg we sound like village people), so I'm not sure how we're going to carry out this 'experiment'. Yasir has suggested that he download the tune ('Somewhere over the rainbow' is the perfect song to snooze to) on to his phone, and borrow his friend's huge headphones. You know, the one you can sort of strap on to your belly. Fingers crossed it'll work out!

So kakak has left to be with her husband in Vevey. Boo to her for not being around for the delivery! Speaking of delivery, we are torn between Gleaneagles or Prince Court..definitely not changing doctors, it's a little too late for that. Our doc practices in both of the hospitals, so we have an option to switch from Gleneagles to PC if we want to...obviously in terms of environment, Prince Court wins hands down, and apparently the food is fine dining. In the words of my aunt: "The tiramisu is to die for!" Honestly I could do with a little fine dining to put me at ease before The Big Push! Ha ha. If only they'd let me slurp on the tiramisu to distract me while I'm getting my epidural heh heh heh. And one of the cons of Gleneagles is that the rooms are scarce because it tends to get quite packed. But everyone seems to think PC is more expensive than Gleneagles, so Yasir and I are quite confused at this point. Hopefully by next weekend we'll be able to sort everything out and actually decide which hospital we're going to stick to. Furr reals.

Baby shower dress STILL not ready, but they promised it would be ready by today. I'm contemplating pretty-ing up my nails with a little nail polish for the shower too. How exciting! :D
I'm thinking a darker colour, to balance out the bright...oh, and is it too early for me to start fantasizing about fitting into my high waisted skirts and cinchers again? Teehee..

Mucho love,

Aainaa

Cake never looked so yummy.

I'm obsessed. And this obsession is even more dangerous than my Juicy obsession, god help me. Obviously, it's no secret that I have been perving over Juicy Couture diaper bags (call it maternal instincts if you will), but I just haaaaaad to google Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags. Like it wasn't enough that I was craving for Juicy diaper bags, which were already out of my budget. I actually featured a bag from Petunia Picklebottom in my previous post on diaper bags, but now I am in love with them (the Cake line only though) more than ever. Does not help AT ALL that these bags are named after delectable sounding dessert. Sigh.

So the Cake line from Petunia Pickle Bottom carries two styles of diaper bags, though more are on the way for 2011. I think I like the Cosmopolitan Carryall style more, just because the straps aren't thick. Here are a few in the Cosmopolitan Carryall:
Chocolate Decadence Cake

L-R: Mocha Berry Cream Cake, Licorice Pudding Cake

Chocolate Cherry Cake

Chocolate cherry cake...chocolate decadence...could you just DIE?? Aaaack. I love the vintage, velvet texture and doctor bag style - sucker for all things vintage, me. And here's the Society Satchel diaper bag design:

Red Velvet Cake

I stumbled upon this blog of a momma who reviews Petunia Pickle Bottom bags. Read her review of the Red Velvet Cake here. She has a few Cake bags - oh so jealousss. Ways to wear the Red Velvet Cake bag:

A fedora goes well with this bag. That's a stylish momma if I've ever seen one!

Mmmmm...red velvet cake. (Sorry couldn't resist :p)

Anyway, back to the different colours!
Juniper Berry Cake

French Gooseberry Cake

Midnight Blackberry Cake

Raspberry Cream Cake

More colours from where these babies came from. And after reading the reviews, I'm even more obsessed with it - uber spacious to fit all your bebe's stuff, and comes with a changing mat at the bottom of the bag (the zippered compartment). Shoulder strap included, if you want to be hands free. And when your baby grows up, hello, use it as a handbag! WHAT AN INVESTMENT. Plus, how annoyingly cute is it that the zipper actually says 'CAKE'?:

Only setback is it might make you unconsciously start to crave for cake everytime you zip up..

And yes, I watched a review of the bag on Youtube.

Lorrrd, hear my prayer, all I want after my delivery is a healthy baby boy....and a Petunia Pickle Bottom Cake bag in Midnight Blackberry or Red Velvet. That is all.

Baby shower updates.

So I called the store to see if my dress was ready, and it isn't!! I have a feeling that when it IS ready, there will still be a bit of alteration that STILL needs to be done, because isn't that just how the universe works?? Darn it. By hook or by crook, it better be ready before Friday or heads are going to roll!!!!!

Anyway, breatheeee. Haha. Here's a pic of the facebook event invite that my friend Leanne designed!

Super cute :) Thanks heaps Leanne! Initially, I thought Marmalade in Bangsar Village II would be a cute set-up for a baby shower (yellow wallpaper, ceiling lamps etc), but because the guest list might be more than 20 people, Marmalade told me that they would have to treat it as a private function and charge 50 ringgit per head for a high tea buffet. I really didn't want to force anyone to fork out 50 bucks for a baby shower, so Marmalade was a no go. So finally, my girlfriends decided to have it at Seri Maya Apartment's function room, with a high tea buffet I think, which might charge around RM30 a head..not too sure of the exact details of that one yet. Seriously, if I could afford to pay for everyone's food, I would in a heartbeat :( I'll be chipping in for the decor, which I'll be leaving in my friends' hands...can't wait can't wait! *does a little dance*

sloppy baby shower kisses,

'Aainaa and Ayden :)

Ayden's wishlist

Here's the link again, because my baby shower is looming and just in case people can't find it!

Wishlist!

Sloppy kisses.

Easy on the rice.

Went for my check up this morning, and doc told me to cut back on rice and carbs. I put on 4 kgs in a span of a month, and he looked at me like I had swallowed an elephant. Crap. I am now officially 30 weeks and baby is measuring at least 32 weeks! Some people say it's because I drink a lot of ice water...I'm not much of a 'hot drink' person, I like my drinks ice cold! So I know for a fact that my confinement period is going to be TORTURE.

Just now for lunch, I attempted to eat just a weeee bit of rice, with my veggies, fish and chicken. Bet you in half an hour's time I'll be super starving again. aaaaaaahhhhhhh! Oh, and I am anemic, my blood count level or something is around 10, while the normal level should be 12 to 14 I think. So that explains why I get lightheaded quite easily...

Oh two days ago Yasir and I saw Ayden sucking his thumb on the monitor during a scan. That lil bugger :)

Shower me with your looove!

So I just found out my baby shower is next week, 12th Feb 2011. Yayyy we're (Ayden and I) sooo excited! :D As of now, my dear girlfriends are searching frantically for a venue to accommodate everyone, mucho love to these people. I know how much of a headache it can get, I'm sure! The theme is Carnival (fun fun fun!), and it's going to be a co-ed baby shower - would be kinda strange to have an all girl baby shower, when I'm carrying a boy... so co-ed it is!

I've pretty much bought my baby shower dress...it has to meet all the criteria I have in mind, which are..

- NOT sleeveless (this is to cover my flabby arms!)...ideally, up to my elbows
- Colourful to fit the carnival theme
- Long (to cover my flabby thighs)
- Pretty

Obviously, I was on a hunt for a maxi dress if my dress had to be long, but a lot of the pretty maxi dresses I came across were strapless or sleeveless. Finally, I found a long-sleeved maxi dress which wasn't sleeveless and fit the colourful theme, in Bangsar Village II. One setback though - the sleeves were waaay too long and baggy, which made it kind of resemble a colourful nightgown. So I asked the salesgirl if they could have the sleeves chopped off to reach my elbows, and she said she'd get back to me. A few days later, she called and said it was do-able! So the husband and I made our way to BV II yesterday so I could show him the dress. He seemed to have liked it, but I couldn't really tell if it was because he was just tired and wanted to get it over and done with, or if he actually really liked it. Oh well. At that point though, I was feeling a tad bit lightheaded, so I was influenced by my 'malasness' to walk around as well, and went with the maxi. Thanks sayang, for buying it for me! Me love you long time!

Can't wait to pop into a salon for a simple blowdry before the baby shower too, it has been AGES since my hair was touched by a professional stylist!! And I might just smear on some nailpolish if I'm feeling festive. Gotta look cute! Ha ha.

sloppy kisses,
Aainaa
